Plan the scan, then the story
Austin Matterport Service Partner

A useful Matterport tour begins with a clear brief. The camera records much more than a single edited view, so preparation, access, and the intended audience matter as much as the scan itself.
Match the tour to the property.
For a residential listing, map the entry, main rooms, secondary spaces, and outdoor transitions that buyers should understand. For a builder or commercial property, the public approach and room relationships may matter more than a single dramatic feature. These use cases need different paths and different estimates.
A floor-plan add-on may help someone who wants a quick orientation alongside the immersive tour. Confirm whether it belongs in the quote and remember that photos and a 3D walkthrough serve different jobs.
Handle the details before capture.
Arrange access to all included rooms and decide on exclusions in advance. Clear personal information and temporary clutter from every visible angle. Large windows, mirrors, tight corridors, and multiple levels can affect the best path through a space.
Ask where the completed tour will be used and how long it needs to remain available. Google Street View publishing is a separate scoped workflow, not an automatic result of ordering a Matterport tour.
